Had the opportunity to expose about 50 adult Girl Scout Volunteers
to letterboxing over the November 14-16 weekend. Unfortunately, the
boxes are on private property, so I don't think they count for PFX,
but we'll get more letterboxers out of this one! Everyone seemed to
have a great time. They were all surprised at the number of boxes
already in place "down the hill" in the Long Beach area (thanks to
Don and Gwen -- and Chowder -- and...)
If you'd like to see what the event looked like, I put the
information up at
http://www.geocities.com/pragerr/SkylandLetterboxing/letterboxskyland
.html
(the letterboxing part, including clues which require some knowledge
of the camp)
and
http://www.geocities.com/pragerr/SkylandLetterboxing/stampmaking.html
(making really simple stamps with "fun foam", including images of
some of the stamps the group came up with).

Wow! I'm impressed at the fine detail they got with just fun foam &
scissors! They did a great job, must have been the excellent teacher :-)

Dear "Bob-baloo"
Volunteer, Girl Scout Council of Greater Long Beach,
You did a fine job and a fine thing. Think of all the scouts who will
now have a reason for exploring artistic urges and getting outside.
Thank you from someone who also benefitted from Girl Scouts,
Eto
